Italianate Villa Chiswick
This Victorian Italianate house, in one of Chiswick’s conservation areas, was updated throughout from a new roof to tanked rooms in the basement and new railings around the front garden respecting the building’s characterful details. Since it was impossible to find a double glazed steel greenhouse we decided to design and build it ourselves using 3 different suppliers. The roof was made by our trusted metal contractor, double glazing supplied by a 2nd company and facades by the Steel Windows Company. The coordination required millimeter accuracy and it all fitted beautifully on the installation day. The library with its pivoting bookshelf door and kitchen with long row of panelled cupboards, were custom designed in-house and built by the building contractor’s joiner.
